Let’s hack societies’ challenges!

Stena Recycling is a proud sponsor of Openhack Gothenburg. Openhack is a digital collaboration arena where ideas and knowledge are exchanged to solve humanitarian challenges.

The 48-hour event took place between August 28th – 30th 2020

Openhack Gothenburg acts as a platform for meetings to give life to new innovations. Technical volunteers, NGOs, influencers and sponsors gathered in this arena to collaborate. The event was free and open for everyone with no previous experience of coding required – the only requirement was ideas and the motivation to create new technical solutions for humanity.

Stena Recycling contributed with the challenge “How can we support consumers to engage in the transformation to a circular economy?”

- What we seek is digital solutions or concepts which can help consumers take an active role in the transformation to a more circular economy, whilst pushing industry and society in general in that direction. It will be very interesting to see which creative suggestions develop during the weekend, says Viktoria Fagerfjäll, Chief Digital Officer at Stena Metall Group.
