Strategy with a circular lense

Businesses often struggle with incorporating circularity into their strategy and measuring its impact. Navigating the complex landscape of sustainability and circularity can be overwhelming, especially with increasing demands from customers, investors, and regulators.

To address these challenges, we offer a flexible strategic project approach that applies a circular lens. Our projects help businesses identify their circular ambition, embrace circularity for value creation, and develop practical and profitable circular business solutions. We identify opportunities to integrate circularity seamlessly into business processes, minimizing waste, reducing environmental impact, and optimizing resource consumption. Our goal is to support businesses in embracing the circular economy for long-term profitability.

Decarbonization strategy

Future-proofing your business starts with understanding and addressing climate impact. Circular strategies offer practical solutions for navigating the complex challenge of Scope 3 decarbonization. Stakeholder expectations are increasing for companies to address greenhouse gas emissions across their entire value chain. Scope 3 emissions, those outside an organization’s direct control, are often both the most significant and the most challenging to quantify and reduce. Addressing these emissions is key to making real and meaningful progress on climate goals and building long-term resilience.

We support companies in measuring and managing climate impact across Scope 1, 2, and 3; even when data is limited or fragmented. Our approach includes mapping of GHG emissions, identifying hotspots, and developing decarbonization roadmaps informed by circular economy practices.

We also guide organizations in aligning with climate reporting frameworks and validating targets, including the European Sustainability Reporting Standard (ESRS) and the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This includes data collection, target setting, audit for compliance, submission, and action plan development. The outcome is a credible climate strategy tailored to your organizational context.

CSRD: Resource use and circular economy (ESRS E5) disclosure support

As part of the ESRS E5, you are required to disclose how your company strategy, business model, and operations support a transition to a circular economy, and the financial impact in terms of risks and opportunities that resource use and circular economy has on your business.

Stena Circular Consulting can assist you in complying with the “Resource Use and Circular Economy” (ESRS E5) requirements. This includes but not limited to collecting, synthesizing and disclosing the required information on material inflow and outflow, repairability of products, financial effects. Furthermore, we help you close key knowledge gaps in terms of how to take the right steps to become more circular, while also demonstrating to the market, customers, and investors that you are committed to circularity.

We leverage our knowledge of the resource management industry and circular economy to guide you in making sense of the large amounts of data and disclosing information needed to meet the ESRS E5 reporting requirements.
