How do we turn used plastic into new raw material? At Stena Nordic Recycling Center in Halmstad, Sweden, used plastic film is processed and turned into regranulate that can be used to produce new plastic film.
The plastic that is recycled is called LDPE, low-density polyethylene, a soft plastic that is widely used in bags, food packaging and industrial film. Every year, 10,000 metric tons of plastic film is recycled here. Find out how!
