Stena Recycling - Sweden's most sustainable recycling company



Stena Recycling has been named Sweden's most sustainable recycling company in 2019. The appointment is based on interviews with decision-makers in small and medium-sized companies in the Sustainable Brand Index B2B study conducted by SB Insight.

“I am extremely happy and proud that we have been awarded Sweden's most sustainable brand in the recycling industry. Above all, it is a receipt that our customers have understood our focus on and our ambition to recycle resources responsibly”, says Malin Baltzar, Head of Sustainability at Stena Recycling Sweden.

It is now the third year in a row that Stena Recycling is at the top of Sustainable Brand Index B2B. In 2017, the company received the same award as this year; the most sustainable recycling company. In 2018, Stena Recycling was the most sustainable brand in Sweden, all categories in B2B.

The background is a focused work with the goal of making customers in Swedish industry and other businesses more resource efficient and more circular. Distinctive are close, in-depth collaborations with many customers while the company takes up more space in important issues in the public conversation.

“In recent years, we have concentrated on highlighting all the values ‚Äč‚Äčthat resource-efficient recycling contributes to. Our salespeople and specialists have done a fantastic job of reaching out and creating a constructive dialogue with our customers. Becoming circular requires collaboration and during the year we have created more and new collaborations, in large part thanks to our initiative Circular Initiative. Receiving this award gives us even more energy in working with circular sustainable solutions”, says Malin Baltzar.


Facts: Sustainable Brand Index, the B2B study

The Sustainable Brand Index B2B has been conducted annually since 2017. The first two years, the respondent target group in the study was executive purchasing managers in large companies in Sweden, defined as companies with a turnover of more than half a billion SEK. In the 2019 study, the target group has been redefined to SMEs. This refers to companies that have from 40 up to 500 employees.
